Step 1 - eSIM Activation
Ensure you have a stable internet connection before proceeding. Steps may vary slightly depending on your Android device:
- Open Settings → Connections.
- Select SIM manager.
- Choose Add eSIM.
- Select Scan QR code and use your device’s camera to scan the Qrispy eSIM QR code.
- Tap Add to complete the eSIM installation. This will connect your phone to the Qrispy network.
- Allow 1–2 minutes for the activation to complete. Keep your screen active during this time.
- Once activation is complete, select the Qrispy eSIM from the list under eSIMs.
- You can customise the eSIM name and icon. We recommend renaming it to Qrispy.
- Confirm that the eSIM has been renamed to Qrispy.
Step 2 - Configuring Device Settings for Your Qrispy eSIM
To use Qrispy eSIM for data:
- Return to SIM manager, tap Mobile Data, and ensure Qrispy is selected.
- Open Settings → Connections → Mobile networks, and enable Data roaming to use mobile data on the Qrispy eSIM.
- When you want to stop using Qrispy for mobile data, you can undo the previous two settings.
Important Notes:
- Make sure to turn OFF ‘Airplane Mode’ on your device to use Qrispy for mobile data.
- Qrispy uses a global eSIM so it needs to have ‘data roaming’ ON to be able to use mobile data.
- Since Qrispy eSIM is global, you can also use it while at home. If you are manually selecting your eSIM for data, please don’t forget to select your local/regular SIM again when you return home; or you will keep using your Qrispy eSIM.

5. Resolving Network Connectivity Issues After a Network Switch with Qrispy
In countries where Qrispy supports multiple mobile network operators, Qrispy automatically selects the best network based on your location. In rare cases, after a network switch, you may find yourself connected to an operator without data access. If this occurs, follow these steps:
- Turn on ‘Airplane Mode’ for a few seconds, then disable it to re-register on the network.
- If data connectivity is still unavailable, navigate to: Settings → Connections → Mobile Networks → Network operators. Toggle 'Select automatically' off and manually select the network under ‘Available networks’ that previously provided a data connection.
- If the issue persists, email us at [email protected] with your account details. Our team will reset your device’s network signaling and provide further assistance promptly.
-
6. Resetting Network Settings for Persistent Connectivity Issues
If connectivity issues persist after trying the above steps, go to Settings → General management → Reset → Reset mobile network settings. This will reset mobile network settings but will not affect your personal data.
-
7. Error Message: ‘eSIM is not ready yet’
If you encounter the error message ‘eSIM is not ready yet’ while trying to activate your Qrispy eSIM, it indicates that the eSIM is already installed on a device of yours. To verify this, please follow the steps below.
- Go to Settings → Connections → SIM manager and check if you can see your Qrispy eSIM.
- If you see the Qrispy eSIM on your device, this means it has already been downloaded. You don’t need to repeat the activation process.
If you do not see the Qrispy eSIM on your device, please send an email to [email protected] and our team will assist you.
Please note:
- If you’re in a country that Qrispy has coverage, please check the ‘Setting Up Your Device to Use Qrispy eSIM for Mobile Data’ section in this troubleshooting guide to ensure your settings are configured correctly to start using data.
If you’re in a country where Qrispy does not have coverage yet, no worries. Your eSIM will complete activation and start working when you land in a Qrispy country. Just make sure to check your ‘Setting Up Your Device to Use Qrispy eSIM for Mobile Data’ to start using it for mobile data in your destination.

8. Reaching the Maximum eSIM Deletion Limit
Qrispy allows a maximum of 5 eSIM deletions and re-installations. If you exceed this limit, your device will display the error message "Unable to Activate eSIM. You can try again, or contact your carrier for assistance".
To resolve this issue, you will need to obtain a new eSIM from Qrispy. Please contact us at [email protected] for assistance. In some cases, you may be required to create a new Qrispy eSIM account.
